I'm here till Thursday on a Shearings holiday. This hotel's best features are it's staff without a doubt!,the waiting and other hotel staff are the friendliest I've ever encountered and the food too. The first time I've been away for Christmas after a very difficult year,travelling alone but dont feel it.
We stayed here with National Holidays and this was one of the better bay hotels. The rooms were clean and the food was very nice with plenty of choice. It's quite busy at meal times but the staff did their best to serve quickly. It's well located, there's a bus stop just outside, a small park opposite and five minutes walk to the seafront. The main shops are above the hotel and uphill. The town itself is small but lovely views, plenty of cafes, a Wetherspoons on the seafront. I would go here again

Good hotel, all clean and tidy, friendly helpful staff. Let down by the food. Dinner alright but small portions. Buffet breakfast, but not very well cooked. Also lots of steps in hotel, but only one small lift with long wait at busy times. Hotel has four floors, but lift only goes to third floor.
The hotel is very clean, the food is excellent with lots of choice for evening meals. Breakfast is also very nice and buffet style. However our double bedroom was the smallest I have ever stayed in. The view of a staircase was dismal. It was hard to manage in such a small space and the bathroom was also extremely small. I found it hard to get dry after a shower when there was such a shortage of space. The shower was good and powerful with lots of hot water. The entertainment was very much app in the evenings. The staff were friendly at all times. I only mark it three because of the very small amount of room we had.
