We stayed at Palm Leas last week and had a lovely time. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with all that you need for a perfect holiday. It is in a beautiful quiet spot overlooking the sea, but is a short walk to Ilfracombe Harbour and the coastal path. We hardly used the car and found the bus service very good when we wanted to go further afield. We highly recommend this accommodation and look forward to returning soon. Ann, the owner could not have been kinder and when we arrived there were lovely roses, a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and biscuits to greet us. Definitely a magical retreat for anyone wanting to escape the stresses of everyday life.

Positive: It is walking distance from the harbour and town. The place has a beautiful garden. The house is nice, clean and cozy. Beautiful kitchen, dining room and a beautiful upstairs main bathroom. Lovely laundry room. Negative:When we booked we were told that the place sleeps 8 people. We were 8 adults. What they did not say was that it sleeps 4 adults and 4 children.There are 4 bedroomsDownstairs (bedrooms): 1 main bedroom, 1 very small kids room with a bunk bedDownstairs (bathroom): shower, toilet and hand basin. Upstairs (bathroom): bathtub, shower, toilet and hand basin. Upstairs (bedrooms): 1 very spacious main bedroom overlooking the nice garden. 1 very small kids bedroom with a double bed. The ceiling in the kids room slopes. We kept on bashing our heads against the low ceiling. The kids rooms have very limited packing space. The kids rooms are very cramped. We had to leave some of our luggage in the dining room. The staircase is very steep.
