The young woman working in Normans on Ilfracombe High Street certainly needs to check her manners, so the Normans might think of their reputation while they get an average score. Being realistic, these days most goods are imported, no different and no better than supermarket quality, incl. Lidl. Price and service are the keys here, and family shops. The ladies in Normans are usually great, it's one of the rare Greengrocers left in the country & reminds of the 1980's and independents before supermarkets and the ubiquitous expensive mini-marts.

It might sound a little contrived, but they matter to the community.Normans is one local business which epitomises that small town integrity whilst delivering a first class range of high quality produce.The staff are always happy to assist with and able to advise on selection, which is rather handy for me since I'm not so great at practical stuff like remembering why I went to the shops.Honestly, a great little shop for all green-grocery.
